A good option or a dubious deal: why is the demand for buying a home growing in Western Ukraine and is it safe to buy it
"People have lost their homes — in Kharkiv, Mariupol and other regions. They all need housing, but not everyone is considering renting. At some point, programs for compensating for lost housing by the Ukrainian state will start working. And it is likely that people will consider regions that are not affected by hostilities," explains Roman Gerasimchuk, director of City Development Solutions. According to the expert, when the war ends, the Ukrainian construction market will experience growth that has not happened, probably, for the last 10 years. Moreover, according to preliminary estimates by City Development Solutions, the volume of construction only for the restoration of residential facilities already exceeds the 5-year volume of construction of previous years.
